The Joint Economic Development Initiative (JEDI) is supporting Aboriginal participation in New Brunswick's economy by supporting Aboriginal workforce development.

JEDI achieves this goal by linking communities and the dynamic Aboriginal workforce with unique initiatives created through partnerships with various governments and private sector employers. These initiatives include:

• The Aboriginal Employment Facilitator (AEF)
• The Aboriginal Workforce Development Initiative (AWDI)
• The Aboriginal Youth Internship Program  (AYIP)
• The Community Adult Learning Services (CALS) Aboriginal Provincial Coordinator partnership
• The New Brunswick Aboriginal ICT Training-for-Employment Project (NBAICT)
• The New Brunswick Workplace Essential Skills Project (NBAWES)
